About
Lacey C. Sonnier is a mental health professional, creative, and advocate for emotional well-being. Her path into the counseling field was anything but traditional. Before becoming a counselor, Lacey spent 13 years as a hairstylist, where she developed a deep appreciation for connection, trust, and the stories people carry beneath the surface.
That experience ultimately led her to pursue a career in mental health, where she now supports individuals in navigating life’s challenges with compassion and authenticity. Lacey brings both professional training and personal insight into her work, understanding firsthand what it means to struggle, grow, and find your way through difficult seasons.
Outside of her clinical work, Lacey is deeply creative. She enjoys painting, writing, and using artistic expression as a way to explore and process emotions. She often describes her approach to mental health as tending to a garden—intentionally planting healthy seeds, nurturing growth, and learning to gently weed out thoughts and patterns that no longer serve us.
Lacey is passionate about “fighting the good fight” for mental health. She believes that healing is not about perfection, but about showing up, being human, and continuing forward—even when it’s hard. Her goal is to create a space where people feel seen, understood, and supported as they learn to navigate their own journeys.
